Terms of Service

By accessing and using Subscription Freedom ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

Subscription Freedom is a subscription tracking and management service that helps users monitor their recurring payments by analyzing email receipts. The Service provides:

• Email-based subscription detection and tracking
• Subscription cost monitoring and notifications
• Cancellation guides, and cancellation letter PDFs on Premium
• Privacy-first approach without bank account connections

To use the Service, you must:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

By using Subscription Freedom, you set up email forwarding from your email provider to forward subscription receipts to your unique private address provided by the Service:

• Receipt and invoice emails are forwarded to your private address
• We process these forwarded emails to extract subscription information

We will:

• Only receive emails that you explicitly forward to us
• Process email data in memory without storing full email content
• Extract only essential information (service name, amount, renewal date)
• Never access your email account directly

You may stop forwarding at any time by removing the forwarding rule in your email provider settings.

We store only the minimum necessary information:

• Subscription service names
• Billing amounts and currencies
• Renewal dates and billing cycles
• Your email address for account management

Plans.

• Free: track up to 5 subscriptions, with renewal reminders and cancellation guides. Free forever, no card required.
• Premium: unlimited tracked subscriptions, at the price shown at checkout (taxes may be added at checkout).

There is no free trial. Prices shown in the app are read live from our payment processor; if a figure elsewhere in our marketing disagrees with the checkout page, the checkout page governs.

Billing and auto-renewal.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number.
• Premium renews automatically at the end of each billing interval — monthly or annually, matching the plan you chose — at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase affecting your plan. Existing subscribers on a legacy price keep that price until they change plan.

How to cancel.

• Cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, either with the Cancel Subscription button or through the Stripe billing portal.
• Cancellation stops the next renewal. Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account reverts to the Free plan.
• Deleting your account also cancels any active Premium subscription automatically.
• Reverting to Free does not delete your data, but subscriptions beyond the 5-item free limit become read-only until you remove some or upgrade again.

Refunds.

• Charges are for the period already begun and are non-refundable in part; we do not pro-rate unused time.
• We will refund in full a Premium charge you contact us about within 14 days of the payment, provided you have not previously received a refund for the same plan. Email support@subscriptionfreedom.com.
• UK and EU consumers keep their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for the initial purchase; asking us to start the service immediately does not remove it.
• Duplicate or clearly erroneous charges are always refunded in full.

Important: cancelling Subscription Freedom cancels only your subscription with us. It does not cancel any third-party subscription you track in the app — marking something cancelled here is a record for you, not an instruction to the merchant.

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Not use the Service to transmit malicious code or harmful content
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws

We strive to provide reliable service, however:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service
• We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible
• We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions

While we strive for accuracy in detecting and tracking subscriptions:

• Detection relies on email patterns and may not catch all subscriptions
• You are responsible for verifying subscription information
• We are not liable for missed subscriptions or incorrect amounts
• The Service is a tool to assist with tracking, not a comprehensive financial record
• Always verify subscription details with the original service provider

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time:

• Paid subscriptions can be cancelled through your account settings
• Cancellations are effective at the end of the current billing period
• Account deletion permanently removes all your data
• Deleted data cannot be recovered
• Stop forwarding by removing the email rule in your email provider settings

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Subscription Freedom and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute Service content without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the Service name or branding without authorization

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Subscription Freedom shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Missed subscription payments or notifications
• Service interruptions or errors

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Subscription Freedom, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms of Service
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your breach of applicable laws or regulations

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

• Email forwarding for receipt processing
• Stripe for payment processing
• Calendar services for synchronization

Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Subscription Freedom operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiation between the parties
• Binding arbitration if negotiation fails
• The exclusive jurisdiction of courts in our operating jurisdiction

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective:

• Upon posting to the Service for non-material changes
• 30 days after notice for material changes

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and cancel your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your account is involved in fraudulent activity
• You abuse or misuse the Service
• Required by law or legal authority

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your account and data.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
